The Truth about JR'S Country Fresh Market (Brantford)

I would advise any shopper to stay FAR away. It is an unsafe environment for employees, a friend of mine worked here and got injured due to negligence of safety features, and is now suffering through months of rehab.

Not to mention that the owner Mike can be heard yelling at his employees from the back. There’s no mistaking that bellowing if you’ve been here a few times…

The produce is at a good price, but thats because half of it is rotten and covered in fruitful flies. I purchased chocolate milk when visiting the store in May 2021, and had horrible stomach pains and aches with no history of lactose intolerance.

This establishment bases itself off of business volume, but unfortunately is selling stuff FAR below what many would consider to be acceptable quality.

A very disappointing set of experiences and I will advise all those close to me to shop somewhere else.

Edit: It seems that rather than address my concerns, and assure a customer doesn’t leave unsatisfied, the establishment prefers to discredit my OWN experiences there, while claiming them to be defamatory, untrue and for the purpose of harming the business. The insinuation of my concerns not being true are amusing at best. Following the initial review I was told indirectly that I was not permitted to visit the store anymore, or be on the property, as such I am not able to provide any feedback on any changes that may have occurred recently.

At the end of the day, I simply would like to purchase food at this establishment and not have to throw it out for quality reasons. Once permitted to visit, I will update the review to match current conditions.
